The Tatra 12 was a robust and reliable car, manufactured between 1926 and 1934 as the successor to the successful Tatra 11 model.
Compared to its predecessor, it brought a number of technical improvements – the performance of the air-cooled two-cylinder engine increased from 9 kW to 10 kW, the engine lubrication was improved, and the front axle was equipped with brakes, which significantly improved driving characteristics and safety.
The car stood out for its simple but sturdy construction and gained popularity mainly due to its reliability in the demanding conditions of the roads at that time. A total of 7525 units of this model were produced, which today are valuable collector’s items of Czechoslovak automotive history.
We completed the renovation of one of the preserved specimens in 2018. The work was carried out entirely in our workshops – from mechanics through bodywork to interior and paint. The result is a fully functional car that has retained its original character and technical authenticity.
